Ocean Drive & Sand Bar
Distance: Approximately 14 minute walk
The Ocean Drive, affectionately known as The OD, has stood as a Jersey Shore tradition for generations. With a renewed spirit in 2012, the Ocean Drive introduced the Sandbar & Grill, a casual outdoor haven that swiftly became a Sea Isle City favorite.
The OD is more than a bar; it's a classic "Jersey Shore Dive Bar" with a focus on fun, friends, and music. Legendary afternoon happy hours, the Saturday No Shower Happy Hour, and the Sunday Jam are staples in the local scene. Don't miss the outdoor charm of The Sandbar and Grill, offering a great menu, craft beers on tap, and the perfect spot for family gatherings at the Jersey Shore. Open every day from Memorial Day weekend to the weekend after Labor Day, The OD is a summer sanctuary. However, the off-season is not to be overlooked, with special events on New Year's Eve, Presidents Day weekend, and spring weekends filled with lively parties.

Our favorite band at the OD is Gogo Gadget. If you haven't caught Secret Service in ohhh the last 30 years it might be worth it, but you need to be primed pretty good to enjoy it.... Don't tell us we didn't warn you. Oh you might want to bring hearing protection for Friday and Saturday nights.
Note: The OD is cash only and usually has a cover charge on weekends. They throw the New Year's Eve party and sell tickets in advance which sell out. Also host the Eagles Autism Fundraising Event with Jason Kelce and many Eagles players who guest bartend every year (3rd week of June).

The Oar House Pub
Distance: Approximately 11 minute walk

The Oar House has multiple bars: alley, back and upstairs. We've probably spend more time here than any other only because its open year round. Food is typical bar food and can be hit or miss depending on who is working. Service same thing, but in general they try hard. Band and sound quality is much better than the OD. Fat Mezz and LeCompt are worth checking out we also like Jim Bannach on Friday nights. Upstairs bar is mostly for college kids and typically has a DJ. Wednesdays Hump Day happy hour with Bob Kelly is usually packed with seniors dancing to the oldies.

The Point
Distance: Approximately 11 minute walk

The Point in Sea Isle is more than a bar; it's a coastal escape where live music, beach breezes, and good drinks create the perfect local getaway. As the only Tiki bar for miles, The Point takes pride in providing an unmatched, high-energy vibe.

Unwind with live music all summer long, featuring returning artists and new local talent. Dive into the ultimate experience by renting a cabana from Monday to Thursday for $65/hr or Friday to Sunday for $100/hr. Feel the weekend vibes, but don't forget the cover fee and age restrictions for minors on certain days. Speakers are pretty muddy sounding, I guess due to noise restrictions, typically a cover charge, food is decent. Fun experience when its not packed to the gills.

KIX
Distance: Approximately 14 minute walk

Celebrating 55 years of entertainment, KIX has evolved from one bar to a six-bar extravaganza. The iconic KIX night club is a Sea Isle City tradition, featuring the best in live entertainment. Thursday nights belong to the Chatterband, Mondays and Fridays are for Karaoke enthusiasts, and Saturdays kick off with Bloody Mary’s featuring Lenny D. Saturday nights are dedicated to top-tier live entertainment with acts like the Sensational Soul Cruisers, The B-Street Band, Legacy, The E-Street Shuffle, and more.
Note: Sunday afternoons at the Pentagon bar with the Chatterband are a favorite of ours, don’t miss it. Known for Saturday mass and Girls Weekend PJ party.

O'Donnell's Pour House
Distance: Approximately 14 minute walk

In 1999, the Ocean Drive proudly opened O'Donnell's Pour House right next door. As Sea Isle City's only Irish Pub, it focuses on an upscale casual dining experience, quality beverages, and a pub-like atmosphere enriched with live acoustic music.
A Celtic Experience
Enjoy a perfect pint of Guinness, live acoustic music, and a conversation-friendly booth. O’Donnell’s Pour House adds a touch of Ireland to the Sea Isle City bar scene, creating a unique blend of coastal and Celtic vibes.

Note: New in 2024, O'Donnell's expanded and upgraded their outdoor dining and venue space. Its a great place to have some food and listen to live music outside.

Anthony's Sea Isle City
www.anthonysseailecity.com
Distance: Approximately 1.8 miles, easy bike ride or a quick drive (parking limited) or jitney ride.

Featuring a full service and upscale bar complete with hand crafted cocktails. It's a good place to grab a drink and the food is good. Daily happy hour specials during weekdays. We prefer sitting at the bar area when we dine here, is lively and fun. It looks very similar to when it was the Beachwood but I'm not sure they have live music options like the Beachwood was known for.

The Dead Dog Saloon
Distance: Approximately 15 minute walk

Built in 1981, The Dead Dog Saloon is a unique two-story tavern featuring live acoustic entertainment. The legend surrounding its name has sparked controversy, but one thing is certain – it offers an experience not found elsewhere in Sea Isle City. This place is the definition of a dive bar, dark and dingy, and from a different era.

With polished wood, brass accents, and an antique décor, The Dead Dog Saloon provides a cozy upstairs mezzanine and ample seating. From an extensive craft beer selection to traditional bar fare, it's a place where every drink is served in a proper glass. No cover charge, just a request for proper attire when the entertainment begins. This place is the definition of a dive bar, dark and dingy, and from a different era.

Shenanigans
Distance: Approximately 15 minute walk

Is a nightlife hub that has been jamming and jumping for over 40 years. On the weekends, Shenanigans is known for the best DJ’s based out of Philly. With an excellent environment for enjoying DJ's and dancing, Shenanigans is one of the few proper nightlife spots at the shore. Depending on the night (or day) of the week, you can expect a diverse mix of dance parties and music spun by DJ’s who keep the party moving.

Open between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends.

Ludlam Bar & Grill (Temporarily Closed due to renovation currently not scheduled to reopen until Fall of 2026)
Distance: Approximately 13 minute walk

Situated on the iconic corner of JFK Boulevard and Landis Avenue, has undergone transformative changes in recent years. With a laid-back family-friendly atmosphere, daily live music, and enticing daily drink specials, Ludlam has become a go-to spot for a perfect night at the shore.

From summer nights filled with live music, fresh cuisine, and refreshing drinks to off-season lounging with locals, Ludlam offers a versatile experience. Every night is an opportunity to unwind after a beautiful beach day in the sun. They never seem to have a cover and always seem to have live music, a perfect combination.
